One of the few remaining quality free agents Zach Brown has signed a one year deal with the Redskins worth up to $4.65 million. The linebacker is coming off a breakout season with the Bills where he had 149 tackles, 4 sacks, 1 interception, 4 passes defended and 2 forced fumbles.
He was ranked in at number 20 on the free agents list this offseason and was somewhat of a surprise to still be on the market at this stage considering the year he had last season. He visited the Dolphins, Raiders and Bills before ending up in Washington for the next year.
He will be a welcome addition to the Redskins defense and is only 27 years old. He will no doubt fit in well as he is a solid run defender and Washington struggled against the run last season allowing for 119.8 yards per game on the ground. Brown spent the first four years of his contract with the Titans who drafted him in 2012.
He spent just one year with the Bills last season before deciding to move on. A lot went wrong for the Bills last year but Brown was one of the few things that went right so he will be a loss to Buffalo but a win for Washington.
